Hundreds of residents in the Tidworth Community Area turned out to a meeting in the Memorial Hall, Ludgershall on Monday 6th June 2011 to protest about the proposed plans to build a waste management site at the Castledown Business Park between Ludgershall and Tidworth.

Hills Group, the Waste Management company behind the proposal, held a Public exhibition in the afternoon before the extraordinary meeting of the Tidworth Area Board in the evening.
The proposed plans have been a "hot" topic with local residents since the news story first broke.
