This coming Wednesday, 27th January, is Holocaust Memorial Day, and when I saw a short item in the Andover Advertiser about a memorial service, I decided to find out more about what the day meant.
Organised by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, I listened to their Chief Executive, Carly Whyborn, explain why they chose The Legacy of Hope as this years theme, and how we can all help remember the survivors of holocausts all over the world. You can listen to the audio from the HMD Trust website by clicking on the links below.
If you want to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, which this year marks the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, you can attend a short memorial service at 11am on Wednesday, 27th January at St Mary's Parish Church in the centre of Andover.
