A new show is coming to Castledown Radio - Dansette Diamonds - a six part series of one hour shows consisting mainly of British rock'n'roll, will launch on 104.7FM at 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th December, and run for a further five weeks every Monday at 8pm during January, the final part being transmitted on February 1st 2010.

"The UK was trailing in the wake of what was coming out of America in the days of rock'n'roll. This special series, created by Gary Jackson, airs the full range of what was on offer in this country. From the greats to the.... well, let's just say some of them did their best! A lot of rare and valuable music is contained in these shows, including some acetates never before aired on radio!"

Well worth a listen if you like alternative rock'n'roll.
