This years world-famous annual Collingbourne Ducis Duck Races took place as usual on the River Bourne at Sunton, and there was a real buzz, as both villagers and visitors cheered on their ducks.

Organised by the Collingbourne and District Twinning Association, the event this year raised a £220.00 donation for Children With Lukemia, by supporting Owen Dowsett's efforts in the London Marathon. The duck races included the Quick Quack Sprint, the Duckathon, Celebrity Duck Race, the Obstacle Quackers Course and the Build Your Own Craft Regattta, all held on a very fast flowing river.
The Regatta Craft get off to a good start!
Nobody fell in the river, although some ducks nearly escaped past the finish line to go upriver to Tidworth, but they were caught by the ever efficient marshalls. If you are free next year around this weekend, why not pop along!
