It’s National Road Safety Week, so make sure your kids "Glow In The Dark" this winter.
More than three thousand children were killed or seriously injured in road accidents in 2007 with three quarters of those being pedestrians. To help your children understand the dangers TV and film animators Aardman are back with Hector, an animated 9 year old schoolboy who has been campaigning for childrens road safety since 2006.
An interactive website featuring Hector’s adventures and information for parents and teachers can be found at Hectors Home. Parents can also pick up one of Hector’s reflective "ghostly gowns" from Texaco service stations, free with petrol.
Castledown Radio’s John Sparrow spoke to David Frost, of the Local Authority Road Safety Officers’ Association about road safety and young people, and also asked Simon Greenhall, of Alan Partridge fame about the many humorous voices he has created for the film’s characters.
