You may well have heard us on Castledown Radio promoting the world-famous annual Collingbourne Ducis Duck Races, which took place on Sunday, 24th February, on the Sunton stretch of the River Bourne.

Organised by the Collingbourne and District Twinning Association the duck races included the Quick Quack Sprint, the Duckathon, Celebrity Duck Race, the Obstacle Quackers Course and the Build Your Own Craft Regattta.

Organised by Lindie and Katie Rogers and family, the event has been running for over 20 years, and had a good turnout of local residents and supporters.

Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event, and everyone had a great time, even the rain stayed away for the day.
