Sunday 23rd September Spire FM teamed up with BFBS Radio 1 for a live broadcast from Salisbury to soldiers on operations in the Middle East.   

BFBS Radio 1 Dave Simon and Spire FM's Martin Starke presented a special version of 'Access All Areas' which was broadcast to 23 countries around the world.

Wives from 4 RIFLES arrive at the SPIRE FM studio, ready to send messages to their husbands in Iraq during the BFBS-Spire link-up 

 This programme was also transmitted on Castledown Radio 104.7 FM to enable families in the Tidworth Community Area to hear the broadcast.

Castledown Radio's Baz Reilly was at Spire FM's HQ in City Hall, Salisbury and spoke to the families, organizers and key players involved in the link up.
