There is always something going on in the Tidworth Community Area. and this weekend was no different. Castledown Radio attended the Holy Trinity Church Fete and BBQ, and what an eventful afternoon it turned out to be.
The weather was very wet, so the fair was held indoors, thanks to the kindness of the British Legion, who's members must have wondered what had happened to their quiet Saturday afternoon drink!
Entertainment included BJL Disco, three groups of young children dancing, singer Abbie and chldrens storyteller Mrs B. Teas etc were supplied by 1st Helsmsdeep Explorer Scouts, and childrens craft and fun was run by the local Brownies.
Church supporters ran stalls selling all sorts of goodies, and there was a tombola with bottles of wine and beer for the lucky winners.
It was a great afternoon, which culminated in a raffle run by Reverend Malcolm Freeman, with the winner taking home £100.00!
