Castledown School recently hosted an excellent "Arts Al Fresco" evening, featuring drama and live music from the students, and art and craft stalls from the local community.
The main hall was packed with an appreciative audience enjoying evening performances from all age groups, and the school corridors were full of art created by the students. Outside events included a BBQ and a visit from Ludgershall Fire Brigade, plus a bouncy castle and rocket launching.
Castledown Radio was open all evening to visitors, with a live radio show presented by volunteer presenter John Sparrow and produced by Rick Young, with links from the Radio Club members, who are students at the school. Station manager Baz Reilly was on hand to collect live interviews during the evening, which were transmitted live to the Tidworth Community Area.
It was an excellent evening with the school full of local supporters, Headmaster John Pender was heard to comment that he had never seen the school field so packed with cars, and he was very pleased with the attendance.
