It's been yet another successful year for Castle Football
Club. Formed in the 2005/2006 season, their first venture in the league ended as Division Three champions.
 Rick chats to team manager John Wright
This year the Castle Football Club has been playing in the
Hampshire Sunday League 2nd Division and has had another very successful
season. The team has won promotion to the Hampshire Sunday League 1st Division
as the runners up in Division Two. They played 24 games in total, winning 22 of those and their
only defeats were to ‘The Entertainer’ and league champions ‘Twinings’.
On the 19th May the club held their end of season
presentation of awards evening in the Queens Head Pub in Ludgershall.
Rick Young went down on the evening to speak to team manager John Wright, players Ricky Hedges and Danny Gladwyn and club secretary Dave Gladwyn.

Supporter’s player of the year – Danny Gladwyn.
Players Player of the year - Danny Gladwyn.
Supporter of the year - Darren Hedges
Team Manager John Wright nominated James McWilliams as the
Managers player of the year and ‘clubman of the year’ award was presented to a
very surprised, John McConnell BEM.
