A lucky group of students were recently treated to an overview of Community Radio, training in radio techniques and a chance to go live on air by Baz Reilly, Station Manager, at the Castledown Media Centre's "A Day In Radio" course.

Ranging from those with little or no knowledge in radio presenting to a couple of more experienced presenters, the day included microphone techniques for interviews, how to produce a radio programme and an explanation of just what community radio is all about.

Everyone had a great day, which concluded with "We Are The Champions" from Queen, and a round of applause for Baz!
