Any man brave enough to pop into Ludgershall’s 'Hair 'n' Nail' beauty salon were in for a bit of shock on Halloween night, as manager Elaine Bone and her team put on their 'Sponsored Men's Waxathon'.
Female clients were invited to bring their respective male volunteers along to be waxed in a fun event, with the aim of promoting the importance of 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month' - a charity and cause close to the hearts of Elaine and her team. The 'Pink Ladies'
Castledown Radio’s Rick Young popped in for a chat with Elaine (pictured above left) about the event, and also to speak to rather pink-skinned (but good spirited) volunteers to discover if it was really as painful as people think! Rick records the event as one of the brave guys gets a waxing!: (3 MB) Rick chats to Elaine about the event: (2 MB) Rick chats to a willing 'waxee': (1 MB)
