The project is housed in a purpose built media centre sited at The Wellington Academy near Ludgershall. Following a successful launch on the Internet, OFCOM issued Castledown Radio a community radio license in March 2006, and we are now broadcasting on both the Internet and on FM radio at 104.7Mhz. 

The media centre generated a bi-monthly newsletter called ‘Pulse’, which was delivered to every home in the community area. Pulse is currently resting, until resources can be made available to publish it again.

Baz Reilly, the Station Manager and his team attend numerous local functions, taking with them the ‘Really Red Radio Roadshow’.  They have also provided the PA and commentary for the annual Tidworth Area Festival, which was held on the last Sunday in July each year - commencing 2006 it was held in the grounds of Tedworth House, Tidworth.

If you are interested in helping out and becoming part of the team, Baz will be out and about across the community area looking for volunteers to help with information gathering and the production and presentation of material for the FM and Internet radio service.

So, if you live in any of the following areas: Chute, Chute Forest, Collingbourne Ducis, Collinbourne Kingston, Everleigh, Ludgershall, Tidcombe and Fosbury, Tidworth, Perham Down or Shipton Bellinger look out for him.  You will recognise him, as he will be wearing a large Australian hat.
